Willis, VA (February 28, 2025) – Mountain Fever Records is excited to present the latest release from Remedy Tree, "Adaline." Born from an unexpected moment of inspiration during the pandemic, this song tells a bittersweet story of lost love and regret. It follows the memory of Adaline, a hardworking and graceful woman from Wisconsin, whose quiet beauty remains just out of reach. As the narrator roams under the harvest moon, he searches for what could have been.
Gabriel Acevedo shares the story behind the song:
"I wrote 'Adaline' in 2020 while working at Lowe’s during the pandemic. It was a very weird time, as we all know. While pushing carts, loading fridges, and changing out trash bins, I would observe all sorts of interesting things in that parking lot. Every week, on the same day, I noticed a girl who would come in to tend to the flowers in the garden section. She never spoke to anyone—just did her job and left quietly. Some of the guys working were intrigued by her but didn’t have the courage to approach her. Then one day, just as mysteriously as she arrived, she was gone. All I knew was her name and that her car had Wisconsin plates. That feeling of mystery inspired me to write 'Adaline.'"
Blending Remedy Tree’s signature energy with evocative lyrics and rich instrumentation, "Adaline" captures the fleeting nature of connection and the stories we weave around those who cross our paths. Featuring Gabriel Acevedo on lead vocal and guitar, Abigail Acevedo on harmony vocal and bass, Nathan Beaumont on harmony vocal and banjo, and Bryce Griffin on mandolin, the band brings this poignant story to life with their unique sound.
