NASHVILLE, TN – January 24, 2025 – Fun-loving, fan-favorite bluegrass artist Dave Adkins and Billy Blue Records are ready to crow about “Ol’ Rooster,” the brand new radio single from Adkins’ critically acclaimed current album, What I’m For.

Co-written by bluegrass veteran and decorated songwriter, Shawn Camp, this lighthearted, up-tempo grass tune is delivered with Dave’s big vocals and is bringing smiles to crowds and listeners everywhere!

In addition to Dave’s familiar vocals, “Ol’ Rooster” features a hard-driving track by all-star musicians Justin Moses (dobro and mandolin), Jeff Partin (bass), Aaron McDaris (banjo) and Grand Ole Opry staff band member Jason Roller (guitar and fiddle). 

“‘Ol’ Rooster’ is a song I have been wanting to record for a few years now,” says Dave Adkins. “With producer Jerry Salley’s help, I finally got a chance to, and I love the way it turned out! For all of us fella’s getting a little older, it’s a fun message.
