Durning the Clay Jones album sessions Jim VanCleve introduced Sammy and I to a special female artist he was working with and encouraged us to record the groups debut album Carrie Hassler & Hard Rain in 2006 on Rural Rhythm.  The group was Carrie Hassler and Hard Rain resulting in a string of hits on the Bluegrass charts starting with the first two from this debut album, “Seven Miles to Wichita” and “Going On The Next Train”.  It is important to note that the group members on this debut album include in addition to Carrie’s lead vocals; Josh Miller, Kevin McKinnon, Keith McKinnon, Josh Swift and Travis Anderson…any of these names sound familiar?...give a listen to “Seven Miles to Wichita” and “Going On The Next Train”…more on Carrie in upcoming threads…
